Manilow is a great entertainer
Jonathan Peters is not just a great entertainer, but he is a good songwriter, singer, and musician. This is rare these days. I always walk away feeling entertained when I have seen him perform several times. You want to leave a concert feeling that you got to know the performer in a more up-close-and-personal way, rather than just hearing someone sing one song after another with no personal patter. I can be entertained at a concert, but I can listen to music anywhere. It's clear that he's moving a bit slower these days (understandable) and while he changes attire for certain songs, it's not the same energy level and more extravagant costume changes of years past. However, Barry does not disappoint in that regard. His face certainly looks a bit different too, but it's the wonders of science that have caused him to now lose some of his warm expressions. The videos of his earlier days, and especially about hearing about his grandfather's influence on Barry, were very well done. Barry's written and performed so many outstanding songs that he always leaves you wanting for more. Backup singers had revolutionary voices and some good dance moves, but they weren't good in any way. Excellent orchestra. Would have liked better set list. Overall: it's always enjoyable, relaxing, yet energizing to sit back in a cozy theater and listen to one of the best entertainers of our time.
